Taylor Eaton│ Marine Technician
Taylor Eaton graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aquatic Biology. While at UCSB, he worked for the Environmental Health and Safety Department as the Assistant Diving and Small Boating Safety Officer. His main responsibilities included facilitating scientific research and training new scientific divers and boat operators. He participated in several research projects. Taylor was actively engaged in intertidal, subtidal and oceanographic research focused on community structure, trophic interaction and current profiling. He identified and sorted micro and macroscopic organisms, conducted biological surveys and implemented biogeographical transplant experiments. After graduation he began working for Oregon State University under the same occupation. He has been working for MTS since fall 2016, conducting field surveys, preparing reports and sorting invertebrate samples.
